The
Pointe Au Chien Tribe of Louisiana has sued
BP over the 2010
Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
The tribe says the spill destroyed its land, burial grounds and historical sites. Tribal members who depend on subsistence fisheries are now out of work.
The tribe lacks federal recognition.
